• Irvington’s Monuments Man: Thomas Carr Howe, Jr. and the Quest for Nazi Loot will be the subject of a Powerpoint presentation, Sunday, April 6 at 1:30 p.m., at the Bona Thompson Memorial Center, 5350 E. University Av,, given by Steve Barnett, executive director, Irvington Historical Society. The program is free and all are welcome to attend.
• EclecticPond Theatre Company (ETC) continues its celebration of Shakespeare’s 450th birthday season with its first installment of the Young Shakespeareans Project: A Midsummer Night’s Dream. ETC has adapted Shakespeare’s most popular comedy into a 90-minute-long production featuring some of Indy’s most talented children and young adults. Performances will be on April 11 & 12 at 7 p.m. and April 13 at 2 & 5 p.m. General admission is $10 at the door, $5 for children 12 and under (service fees added when purchasing online). • If it’s April, that must mean that Keep Indianapolis Beautiful will be kicking off its Great Indy Cleanups throughout the city. On April 5, KIB will be helping neighborhoods on the near east side and downtown. On April 26, they are planning a big Cleanup in Fountain Square, with more than 400 volunteers. If you want to do your part, you can register at any Indianapolis Public Library for the “Every Litter Bit Helps” program and receive a pair of gloves and trash bag to help clean up litter in your neighborhood.
• The Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site’s Candlelight Theatre production, Deadly Games, will be presented April 11-May 3 on the weekends. Tickets are $22 per person (seniors and students $18) and available at bhpsite.org or by calling 631-1888. The play is staged in three different rooms in the mansion. It’s a great way to experience the home at 1230 N. Delaware St.

• Unfortunately, due to the bad weather March 29, the volunteers who are putting together the Rivoli Park Labyrinth on Kealing Ave. couldn’t get any work done. That doesn’t mean that the labyrnith won’t be ready for World Labyrinth Day on May 3.
