INDIANAPOLIS — Adults are invited to learn about resources related to the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and receive assistance in signing up for the health insurance marketplace during the Health Insurance Marketplace Open House, to be held on Oct. 8 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. and on Oct. 9 from 2 – 4 p.m. at Central Library, 40 E. St. Clair Street.
The open house will feature representatives from various health organizations who will be available to discuss the health insurance marketplace, demonstrate the healthcare.gov marketplace website, and explain steps to enroll in a health care plan. Basic marketplace and ACA information will be provided. This segment of the open house will be held in the Library’s Knall Meeting Room.
In addition, individuals can visit the Library’s Computer Training Lab to work with trained volunteer navigators to explore the marketplace, establish an account, and enroll in a plan if they wish.
Throughout the fall, Indianapolis Public Library branch locations will host navigators who can assist them in signing up for a plan and learn more about the healthcare.gov website.
