INDIANAPOLIS — The 3rd annual Hope Plumbing presents Nap Town Chickens Tour de Coops will take place on Sunday, Sept. 22 from 1 p.m.-5 p.m. Last year’s event drew over 750 people. Participants are encouraged to tour the 12 chicken coops in the northern neighborhoods of Broad Ripple, Butler-Tarkington, Meridian-Kessler and Rocky Ripple by bicycle but cars are still very welcome. The self-guided tour will start at Agrarian (661 E. 49th St.). Maps, also serving as tickets, will be sold for $10 per person at the on-site registration or can be obtained at a discounted rate of $8 person person at www.naptownchickens.org.
NTC will also raffle off a chicken coop that will include chickens and all of the implements that go with raising them.
The “re-COOP-eration” event, an “Ol’ Fashioned Egg Toss Contest” presented by Marigold Clothing will take place at Agrarian after the tour.
