INDIANAPOLIS — On Sept. 14, Wishard-Eskenazi Health will present the Eskenazi Health Center Grassy Creek Health Fair at Eskenazi Health Center Grassy Creek, 9443 E. 38th St. The free health fair will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will include a special appearance by National Basketball Association (NBA) player Danny Granger.
A team of health care professionals will be on hand to answer questions and administer free health screenings in a fun and family-friendly atmosphere. Health checks provided during the fair will include blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, BMI, depression, and more. In addition, free immunizations will be provided for children ages 4 to18 who bring a copy of their shot records. Participants will also have the chance to visit a wide variety of informational booths on topics such as nutrition, health insurance, community resources, HIV information, WIC and more. There will also be staff members from the Wishard-Eskenazi Health Pharmacy available to take unwanted medication for disposal.
In addition to the numerous health screenings and informational booths, Danny Granger, entering his ninth NBA season, will be making an appearance. Granger is an ambassador for the Dribble to Stop Diabetes campaign.
