IRVINGTON — Celebrating its 13th Anniversary, the Irvington Garden Tour provides visitors with a glimpse of gardening creativity. The tour will be held June 30 from 1-5 p.m. Pre-tour tickets are only $10 each and are available at the Antique Mall of Irvington (5501 E. Washington St.), Bookmamas (9 S. Johnson), and Habig’s (1105 N. Arlington). On the day of the tour, tickets are $12 and will be available at the Benton House (312 S. Downey), and Irvington Methodist Church (30 N. Audubon). Visitors get a free plant with paid admission.
There are eight gardens on the tour this year promising a range of gardening styles and approaches. As always, the gardens of Irvington inspire and motivate gardeners from the area, and offer great photography opportunities.
Irvington United Methodist Church will also be holding its Strawberry Festival and Patriotic Concert on June 30 from 1:30 – 4 p.m. Remember to stop by and get the strawberry shortcake “works” ($4 for adults, $3 for kids 12 and under) and listen to the concert in the sanctuary at 4:30 p.m.
