INDIANAPOLIS — The Young Actors Theatre will present four plays this May, all at the Athenaeum, 401 E. Michigan St. Tickets for all shows are $10-$12.
The Wind in the Willows, by Joseph Baldwin is based on the book for children by Kenneth Grahame. The most charming small mammals you’ll ever meet team up with the world’s most exasperating amphibian to pursue their merry adventures. Shows are May 11th at 4 p.m., May 12th at 2 p.m., and May 19th at 5 p.m.
Puss in Boots, adapted by Max Bush. Modern and fast-paced, this Puss in Boots remains faithful to the qualities that have made the fable popular over many generations — an inventive wit and a sense of the magical possibilities of the relationships between men and beasts. Shows are May 11th at 1 p.m., May 17th at 7 p.m., and May 18th at 4 p.m.
The Little Mermaid, by William Glennon from the Hans Christian Andersen story. Follow the Little Mermaid, who in this modernized version is a strong-willed but endearing innocent, on her first journey to the Top of the Sea. Performances will be on May 11 at 7 p.m., May 18th at 1 p.m., and May 19th at 2 p.m.
Julia Caesar, by William Shakespeare. Rediscover the world’s most enduring story: a tale of pure passion between the children of sworn enemies. Enjoy the classic story retold in a modern setting. Shows are on May 10th ar 7 p.m., May 12th at 5 p.m. and May 18th at 7 p.m.
