INDIANAPOLIS — Indy Parks is currently preparing a master plan for the Indy Greenways system and is seeking public input. Residents are invited to attend the Indy Greenways Public Open Houses on the following dates:
• Feb. 25 in Lawrence Township at Heritage Christian School, 6401 E. 75th Street
• Feb. 27 in Center Township at Garfield Park Arts Center, 2432 Conservatory Dr.
• Feb. 28 from 6-8 p.m. at the MSD Warren Township Education & Community Center, 975 N. Post Rd.
• March 6 in Perry Township at Perry Meridian High School Library,401 W. Meridian School Rd.
• March 7 in Franklin Township at Franklin Township Middle School West Annex, 6019 S. Franklin Rd.
There will be a short overview presentation at 6:30 p.m. with an open house before and after the presentation.
Indy Parks has opened a project office specifically for the Indy Greenways Master Plan. Stop by the office and share your ideas or discuss issues with the project planners. The office is located at Boulevard Station, the former rail depot at the intersection of the Monon Trail and 38th Street. The office is open on Wednesdays from 8:30-4:30. Residents who want to support the extension of the Pennsy Trail through Irvington to eventually connect with the Pennsy in Cumberland are encouraged to attend the meetings.
