Animal Care & Control Receives Donations

INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Veterinary Referral & Emergency Center (IVR/IVEC) kicked off the New Year by partnering with the southside Pet Supplies Plus store to collect dozens of pet supplies, toys and treats for shelter animals.
IVR/IVEC presented donations like bleach, gently used blankets and beds, and an assortment of food to Indianapolis Animal Care & Control (IACC) as part of its annual holiday pet collection.
IACC enforces all animal-related ordinances in Indianapolis and helps rescue animals in distress or danger on an emergency basis. Each year, IACC cares for approximately 18,000 surrendered, homeless, abandoned, abused and neglected animals. The shelter depends almost entirely on donations from individuals and corporations for food.
