INDIANAPOLIS — Women’s Fund of Central Indiana donated $4,000 to Dove Recovery House recently, following a January 5 fire that damaged its basement and displaced 17 residents and a staff member. The funds are being used to defray emergency expenses to allow the women to stay at an extended stay hotel while repairs are made to the House.
Founded in 2000, Dove Recovery House provides supportive transitional housing for women recovering from substance abuse. The women who live at the House are given wrap-around support in order to become clean, sober, and ultimately self-sufficient.
Donations of money and nonperishable food and supplies are being accepted at the Marion County Jail, 40 S. Alabama St.
