INDIANAPOLIS — Not only is Christmas Nights of Lights at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center bigger and better than ever this year, the event is spreading holiday cheer by raising money for local charities. To date, the popular drive-through light show has raised more than $12,000 for the following nonprofit organizations:
• Indy Humane
• Toys for Tots
• FOX59 Pack the Pantries
• WRTV Toy Drive
The show has also donated more than 300 passes to the organizations within the community that serve children.
This year’s Christmas Nights of Lights features new music, an extended route and additional light displays including a spectacular 240 ft. wall of lights, making it the largest synchronized show in Central Indiana. This dazzling light display is open from dusk until 10 p.m., with extended hours on the weekends through Jan. 3.
The display will be offered rain, snow or shine every evening, including holidays. The cost is $7 per person and children 3-years-old and under are free. A “Carload Special” of up to seven passengers is just $30, 10-15 passengers is $50, 16-35 passengers is $75, and 36+ passengers is $100. To receive “Carload Special” pricing all passengers must be in one vehicle. Due to a new route this year, the height of vehicles must be NO MORE than 11 ft. tall to drive through the light display. Guests should enter the Indiana State Fairgrounds at Gate 12, 1698 E. 42nd Street, Indianapolis, IN 46205.
Cash and major credit cards are accepted at the gate or, for the ultimate “touchless” experience, tickets may be purchased online at www.christmasnightsoflights.com/indianapolis.
