Medical Mutts Announces New Director of Development

INDIANAPOLIS — Medical Mutts Service Dogs recently appointed Kelsey Burton as Director of Development. She brings with her an extensive background in the nonprofit and for-profit sectors. Burton was previously the Executive Director at Paws and Think, Inc. and has worked with organizations such as the American Red Cross and the Family Support Center. In 2020, she was named the United Way Elevate’s Nonprofit Professional of the Year. Burton is a Lafayette, Indiana native and a graduate of Butler University, where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Biology and Chemistry.
Medical Mutts Service Dogs is a non-profit dedicated to successfully partnering homeless dogs with clients with disabilities. Medical Mutts trains rescue dogs as service dogs and promotes collaboration between dogs and people through research, education, and ethical training. The organization works to save dogs, help people, and promote kindness through their service dog training programs.
