DigIndy was a $2 billion project that spanned 14 years of construction to build a 28-mile underground deep-rock tunnel system to eliminate combined sewer overflows into local waterways. Completed in October 2025, the project was needed to comply with a federal consent decree with the EPA and the Dept. of Justice to clean up Indiana’s water systems.
