Ready for Spring? Get to the Indiana Flower + Patio Show March 9-17

INDIANAPOLIS — Now in it’s 66th year, the Indiana Flower + Patio Show is one of the oldest and most successful flower shows in the U.S. This year, the show will be held from Saturday, March 9 through Sunday, March 17 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, West Pavilion and Exposition Hall. The Fairgrounds are located at 1202 E. 38th St.
The Indianapolis Landscape Association Feature Gardens are located in both the West Pavilion and Expo Hall, showcase the latest landscape trends and plants. Regardless of budget, there will be inspiration for everyone as they browse through the gardens.
Special guests at this year’s Indiana Flower + Patio Show are Linda Vater, garden designer and influencer (March 16 and 17); Jo Ellen Sharp, veteran gardener and native plant promoter (March 9 and 17); Abbie Perry, specialist in indoor succulents and terrariums (Saturdays and Sundays at 11 a.m.), Kayla Meyer, flower arrangement specialist (on the Oberfields Outdoor Living Stage throughout the show), and much more. While you are there, check in to Purdue Master Gardener’s booth, and ask the experts all your horticulture questions. Every day, there will be exciting opportunities to learn, buy, and connect with vendors who can help you make your dream garden a reality.
While you stroll the gardens, if you spot something you can’t live without, there is the annual Blooming Sale on the final day of the show, Sunday, March 17 at 5 p.m. Almost all the plant materials, hardscapes, structures, and decorative pieces at the gardens will be for sale. Be prepared to take your purchases home with you that day.
Spring is almost here, and the show gives Hoosiers a great opportunity to get new ideas about what to plant in 2024. They’ll be able to get information about the latest trends in gardening, landscaping, outdoor entertaining, and much more. Visit the Plant Market inside for plants, fresh flowers, gardening  supplies while you are at the show. In addition, you’ll see creative ways to bring the outdoors into your living space through fresh floral arrangements and indoor plantscapes.
On Friday, March 15, the Flower + Patio Show will honor active military, veterans, and public safety officers get free admission to the show with valid ID plus free parking at the State Fairgrounds.
Hours are Mon.-Wed. 10 a.m.-7 p.m., Thurs.-Fri. 10 a.m.-8 p.m., Sat. 10 a.m.-8 p.m., and Sun. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tickets at the door are $15. Discount tickets are available at any Indiana Members Credit Union, and coupons are available (until March 17) with a visit to participating Ace Hardware stores.
