“The LUME at Newfields Dali Alive” Opens March 2

INDIANAPOLIS — Salvador Dali’s mesmerizing works will adorn The LUME Indianapolis on Floor 4 of the Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields beginning March 2. The Spanish artist is known for his surreal dreamscapes of melting clocks and fascinating creatures. Fluttering butterflies will envelop guests who step into Dali’s wild and wonderful worlds.
The exhibition will showcase four large watercolor paintings by Dali from the IMA’s permanent collection. The paintings were originally designed for the opera, The Spanish Lady and the Roman Cavalier. The pieces will be making their first collective museum appearance since 1979.
Tickets are $29 for non-members, and include admission to the rest of the museum. Tickets are timed and must be purchased in advance at discovernewfields.org.
