20 New IMPD Officers in the 25th Recruit Class Graduate

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) and Chief Randal Taylor recently celebrated the graduation of the IMPD 25th Recruit Class. The 20 new probationary officers have begun their field training, serving Indianapolis neighborhoods.
The 25th IMPD Recruit Class was sworn in on September 2, 2022.  These officers have been assigned to the Training Division for the past 26 weeks. The recruit training curriculum consists of classroom and scenario-based training. The 25th Recruit Class will complete 20 weeks of on-the-job training in the Field Training Program.
Also participating in the graduation were two Indianapolis Fire Department (IFD) captains who will serve as arson investigators.
