IRVINGTON — Beastside Brewfest organizers were thrilled that the 2022 event sold out days before, and that it was wildly successful, raising money for Hannah’s playground at School 57 and the playground at United Methodist Church.
Winners of the coveted Beast (designed by local artist Daric Kindle) were Black Acre Brewing Company’s Stormblast, which is available in the Washington St. taproom. The trophy was the judge’s best selection. The audience favorite was Rheingeist’s offerings. Ten vendors were on hand to compete for the Beast.
A big shout-out goes out to the organizers of the annual festival, which had to sit out 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19. Funds raised from popcorn and pretzel sales, plus the 50/50 raffle will directly impact the community.
