Global Fest to Benefit Center for Inquiry 70

INDIANAPOLIS — Global Fest will be held on Sat., Sept 15 from noon to 10 p.m. on the grounds of Northwood Christian Church, 4550 Central Ave. Celebrate culture and community with live world music, international food trucks, global kids zone, artisans and more. Admission is free and secure bike and stroller parking is available. Proceeds go to support Center for Inquiry 70, an Indianapolis Public School.
Chinese shadow puppets, Brave Youth Society, Iibada Dance Company, Afro-pop band Sweet Poison Victim, and Latin-fusion band Grupo Bembé will be featured on the Global Stage. Cuisines from all over the world will be available at food trucks, and there will be a wine and beer garden for the 21 and older crowd. Artisans with globally inspired artworks will be on hand selling their wares.
Kids can enjoy the day with giant piñata smashing, henna painting, Australian Aboriginal dot painting, Swiss sack gumpen (potato sack races), bocce, badminton, and other events. Kids can also earn passport stamps for free prizes from Under The Sun Discount Market.
