IRVINGTON — One of the most popular parts of the Historic Irvington Halloween Festival is the window painting contest. This long-standing tradition is what makes the fesival unique. This year registration at the Irvington Library will be for children/and or adults that will be painting with children. Adults wishing to paint a window without a child/children should register at Black Acre Brewing.
No registration will be done by phone or e-mail — no exceptions.
Registration begins Tues., Oct. 10 at 4:00 p.m. and will end when all windows are registered or Fri., Oct. 13 at 5:30 p.m, whichever comes first. Last year, the last window was registered on Thursday, so spaces go fast.
Registration times are Tues., Oct 10 and Wed., Oct 11 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.; Thurs., Oct 12 and Fri. Oct. 13 from 4:00 to 5:30 pm.
Window location choices (of merchants) will be accommodated on a first come first choice basis; however, final decisions on location of window will be at the discretion of the Event chairperson. Entrants are responsible for remembering where their windows are located. Windows will be marked as to the grade/age of the entrant for judging.
