INDIANAPOLIS — The Exploring Stages Series returns to the Indiana Repertory Theatre (IRT) with a production of Peter Rabbit and Me, adapted by Aurand Harris from The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter. The production takes place in The IRT Cabaret from November 21 through December 20.
Peter Rabbit and Me tells the story of young Beatrix and the enchanting world of Flopsy, Mopsy, Cottontail and Peter Rabbit in their exciting adventures in Mr. McGregor’s garden. Filled with humor, surprise and colorful characters Peter Rabbit and Me captures the magic of children’s imaginations.
Attentive to every detail, this highly sensory, child-scaled performance allows children and their families to sit on “grass” carpeting and imagine they are a field of rutabagas or parsnips. The design allows the children to see the actors, costumes and set design up-close without the restraints of a traditional theatre environment. Seating is general admission with both floor and reserved chair seating available.
Several special events are planned for this production, including the Nov. 21 Little Yelpers Party with Yelp at 9 a.m., Photo Booth Fun on Nov. 21 at 2 p.m., Real Bunnies on Nov. 22 between the 1 and 3 p.m. performances, and much more.
Tickets are Adult and child pricing (chair) $20, Adult pricing (floor) $15, and Child and Student pricing (floor) $8. Show times and tickets are available at irtlive.com or by calling 635-5252.
