INDIANAPOLIS — Little Red Door Cancer Agency’s Community Garden is now in its sixth growing season. The garden, begun in 2010, has expanded to include the back lot of the agency’s property. There we grow cancer-fighting foods such as raspberries, tomatoes, basil, Swiss chard, kale and more.
Due to the expansion, the agency is looking for funders willing to support the program. Anyone is welcome to take produce from the community garden, and the agency provides recipe ideas on what to do with the fruits and vegetables from the garden.
To learn how you can sponsor the garden, please contact Vice President of Development and Communications Nick Duvall at nduvall@littlereddoor.org or (317) 920-4685. The agency is located at 1801 N. Meridian St.
As Indiana’s oldest cancer agency, Little Red Door helps underserved Hoosiers battling cancer, educates the public about cancer prevention and provides cancer screenings to uninsured people in central Indiana. For more information, visit www.littlereddoor.org.
