CrazyLake Acting Company Presents “Bye Bye Birdie”

GREENFIELD — CrazyLake Acting Company will present its first-ever musical production with Bye Bye Birdie, July 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, and 20 at the HJ Ricks Centre for the Arts at 122 W. Main Street in Greenfield.
The show centers around Conrad Birdie (played by Patrick Gawrys-Strand) as Elvis-style rock and roll star who is about to be drafted. His manager, aspiring song writer Albert Peterson (played by Trever Brown) is convinced he can make his fortune and marry his girlfriend, Rosie (played by Amy Studabaker), if he can get Conrad on the Ed Sullivan show (played by Kelly McClarnon) to kiss a randomly chosen high school girl fan of Birdie’s, Kim MacAfee (played by Rylie Gendron), on national television. Albert’s mother Mae (played by Jan Hodson) will do anything to break up his relationship with Rosie and all ‘heck’ breaks loose when Kim’s boyfriend Hugo (played by Colin Pool) strongly objects to Kim kissing anyone but himself.
Friday and Saturday shows at 7:30 and Sunday matinees at 2:30.  Tickets will be $12 at the door, but advanced sale tickets can be purchased for just $10 at Hometown Comics in the Green Meadows Plaza or reserved by calling 317-477-2787.
