INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana State Fair is rolling out a new attraction that will move guests across the grounds in a whole new way.
In partnership with North American Midway Entertainment, The Indiana State Fair will debut a new train ride during this year’s event. The new attraction will give fairgoers a chance to sit back, relax, and enjoy a scenic ride through the Fairgrounds while taking in sights from a new perspective.
The attraction will feature two trains, each with a capacity of approximately 90 passengers. Guests will board at a newly constructed depot and embark on a 15-minute round-trip ride along a one-mile track that loops through key areas on the north side of the Fairgrounds, and return to the depot.
Construction is nearly completed and includes more than just the track. A new train depot will serve as the central boarding location for guests, while a dedicated storage facility will house and maintain the trains on site.
With large crowds expected again this summer, the addition provides a new family-friendly experience and another unique attraction for guests to enjoy during their visit to the Fair. The cost will be $5 per passenger (can use midway tickets).
