CUMBERLAND — The town of Cumberland will host the 14th annual Weihnachtsmarkt(Vy-nahkts-mahrkt), a German winter market. On Dec. 6 from 11-6 p.m., Cumberland will close US 40 (from Muessing St. to S. Heflin St.) to celebrate the holidays with artisan vendors, traditional food and beer, kids activities, holiday entertainment, and so much more.
There will be vendors with handicrafters and unique ornaments, gift items, and much more.
Join the Cumberland Police in supporting our community this season by donating basic hygiene products, hats, and gloves. You can drop off items at the Police Truck during Weihnachtsmarkt or bring them to Town Hall anytime in December.
St. Nick makes an appearance at the Gap Meeting House from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. and there will be kid’s activities like reindeer games, letters to St. Nick, free face painting, and more.
There will be traditional food and beer available for purchase, as well as a great entertainment lineup of music, storytelling, puppetry, and dance.
At 5:30 p.m. there will be a tree lighting and fireworks display.
