INDIANAPOLIS – On Thursday, Feb. 13 at 6 p.m., Indiana Landmarks Center, located at 1201 Central Ave., Local historian Anthony Conley introduces the namesake of the Edna Martin Christian Center. Founded in 1941 in a one-room building, the EMCC is now the second largest community center in Indianapolis, and has served thousands of families and residents in the Martindale Brightwood community.
The Edna Martin Christian Center is a community led, community focused organization dedicated to ensuring the prosperity and longevity of the historic Martindale-Brightwood community on the east side.
