Parking Lot Picnic Concert May 19

IRVINGTON — The Irvington Arts Collective invites the community out for a community sing concert on Sunday, May 19 at 4 p.m. in the Irvington Presbyterian Church parking lot, 55 Johnson Ave.  If it rains, the concert will be in the building in Fellowship Hall.

Bring your picnic blanket and basket (no alcohol is allowed on church property) or lawn chairs to enjoy the community chorus for an afternoon of music. Harmony Collective is a choir composed of people 16 and older who enjoy singing and hanging out with people who love music. The goal is to create community and advocate for social, environmental, and restorative justice through music. The May 19 concert will be a combination of pop and secular music that everyone can enjoy.

The Irvington Arts Collective also offers a once a month opportunity for contemplative meditation at the Irvington Presbyterian for those in the choir, or part of the art gallery and studio teaching spaces. The gallery at the IPC offers space to the community where artists can display their works, host events, and lead workshops. In addition, they offer studio space to community members to teach applied arts lessons such as music, dance, and visual arts.
