INDIANAPOLIS — The total solar eclipse won’t happen until Monday, April 8, but the Harrison Center is already showing works inspired by the once-in-a-lifetime event.
Visiting artist Henry Dean’s outdoor sculpture, Now and then/ Indianapolis, was installed in front of the Harrison Center between Jan. 5-13. Dean resides in Savannah, GA. He is an author and professor who teaches at the School of Foundation Studies at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). The sculpture in Indianapolis is one of a series of six that Henry is creating along the “path of totality” from Texas and Maine. The project has been underway for over three years and is documented in the Instagram journal @nowandtheneclipse24. The Harrison Center is located at 1505 N. Delaware near downtown Indianapolis.
