• Englewood Community Development Corporation is offering Owner-Occupied Repair for low-income homeowners who have a household income of 80% Area Median Income or less. • All Indianapolis Public Libraries will be closed Nov. 6 for their annual Staff Appreciation Day. The online branch will continue to be open for downloadable and interactive books, audiobooks, magazines, and movies. As always, you can renew your materials online, by phone at 317-269-5222, or return them to any drop box located at a library.
• Leaf collection in Indianapolis begins on Nov. 6. You can set up to 40 bags of leaves each week using plastic bags at the curb on trash pick-up day. Better yet, leave them on the lawn and mulch them in with your mower to add nutrients to the soil. Now is also a good time to schedule gutter cleaning.
• Faith Assembly of God, 186 Royal Road, Beech Grove, will be holding a Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 4 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. with lots of gift-giving items and fresh breads and more. Get a jump on the season!
