INDIANAPOLIS — Four teachers at Purdue Polytechnic High School won the top prize recently in the PBS reality show “Make 48.”
The finale aired on Oct. 30, and the team’s invention, “Don’t Wet Your Pants,” toppled the competition. The game involves players opening up pipes, and whoever has the most water dumped into their cup loses the competition.
Teams are given 48 hours to come up with an invention, design it and pitch it to the judges. The topic for Season 5 was kids toys.
The team is named for the building that is home to Purdue Polytechnic High School on East Washington St.
The win earned the team $10,000, which they are using to market their invention. They also won the Kid’s Choice prize, and have a patent pending for it.
