Texas Roadhouse Offers Free Lunch for Veterans
INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis’ Texas Roadhouse restaurants invite veterans and active members of U.S. military to enjoy free lunch on Nov. 11 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Every Texas Roadhouse location across the country will participate in the free lunch event to honor the men and women of our armed forces.
• All veterans — including all active, retired or former U.S. military — can choose one of 10 entrees, including a 6-ounce sirloin and two made-from-scratch sides plus a choice of any non-alcoholic beverage during lunch. Proof of service includes military or VA card, or discharge papers.
Locations include 4335 Southport Crossing Dr. and 1405 N. Shadeland.
A Salute to Veterans at the Bona Thompson Center
In commemoration of Veterans Day, the Irvington Historical Society exhibit, “A Salute to Veterans -2013,” is currently showing at the Bona Thompson Memorial Center, 5350 E. University Ave. Featuring World War II Through the Pages of Life Magazine, Uniforms & More, and World War II Sweetheart Jewelry, the exhibit runs through November 17. The galleries are open and free to the public, Wednesdays 1-3 p.m.; Saturdays/Sundays 1-4 p.m.
