• The Irving Circle Concerts continue on Saturday, July 16 at 7 p.m. on the south circle (on S. Audubon south of the library). Get there early and bring your own lawn chair. Refreshments available for purchase with proceeds going to help support the park and its upkeep. The circle will be blocked off from traffic, so find a place to park and walk down. The fountain motor is broken, and needs to be replaced, so every little donation helps!

• IMPD is currently testing three different gunshot detection systems on the east side. You will see companies putting devices on poles and buildings in the area that “hear” gunshots and notify law enforcement to respond. The devices can’t listen to conversations or record video in the area. Once the pilot program is over, IMPD will evaluate the devices to see if they improve response time. Even if you have a device installed nearby, please continue to call in “shots fired” when you hear them. Some of the devices look like little solar panels on the telephone pole.
