INDIANAPOLIS — The traditional Fourth of July celebrations, complete with public fireworks and gatherings, will be held this year. Downtown Indianapolis will celebrate on Sunday, July 4 with fireworks beginning at 10 p.m., launched from the 500 N. Meridian building. The show will be synced to popular and patriotic music on B105.7 and 97.1 Hank FM.
Beech Grove will hold its July 3 fireworks display on Saturday at the Sara T. Bolton Park, capping off All American Day at the park. As evening settles, the skies light up in the park for the first display of the weekend.
The City of Lawrence will hold its Lawrence 4th Fest from 9 a.m.-11 p.m. at Lawrence Community Park, 5301 N. Franklin Rd. The day’s activities include a fish fry, classic car show, live musical entertainment, and food trucks. The booms start around 10 p.m.
In addition, the Marion County Fairgrounds will host a fireworks display to close out the Marion County Fair on July 4 at about the same time, weather permitting ($5 admission to the fair all day).
