LAWRENCE — Indiana Arts for Lawrence (AFL) announced a new event that is socially distanced, full of Fort Ben history, a spooky mystery, and a fun game. Every year, AFL offers the community an interactive activity to raise funds to support the arts and this year is no different. Although, 2020 is a year where all things are different, the Scavenger Hunt is designed to keep you safely distanced from other participants, and offers stops in some of Fort Ben’s local establishments that have been affected by the pandemic’s closures and could benefit from your patronage.
The Scavenger Hunt takes place anytime between 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Oct. 23, 24, 31 & Nov. 1. It covers less than approximately two miles, and should take around 2 hours to complete. It is experienced best with a smart phone, as the stops offer QR codes to hear the clues. Registration is $35, kids under 14 accompanying an adult are free, and costumes are encouraged. VIP ticket of $45 offers a photo opportunity in the historic Fort Benjamin Harrison jail.
