City Partners with IndyGo to Provide Free Face Masks

INDIANAPOLIS — The City of Indianapolis, in partnership with IndyGo, will distribute free face coverings to residents at the Julia M. Carson Transit Center. The City is currently in discussions with additional community partners to supply free face coverings, with nearly 190,000 face coverings slated for distribution so far.
Face coverings will be available at a pop-up station outside of the Carson Transit Center from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday – Friday and from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, while supplies last.
Those interested in requesting a free face covering can do so at indy.gov/masks. The City has appropriated $3 million to the program as part of funding from the Federal CARES Act.
