IRVINGTON — Music and authors will grace the Bona Thompson Memorial Library on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 1-3 p.m. MJ & the New Embers will entertain with their repertoire of blues, folk, rock and jazz while authors discuss and sign their books. William F. Gulde will sign Irvington in 1910: A Year in the Life of an Indianapolis Neighborhood. Julie Young will sign her books The Burger Chef Murders in Indiana, Historic Irvington, and Indianapolis Eastside: A Brief History. Donna Griffin will sign her books Twelve Days of Christmas in Indiana and the graphic novel Birth of the First Amendment. Although he will be playing in the band, Paul Diebold will also be glad to sign copies of his book Greater Irvington. Come to the Bona for the music and books and also enjoy the museum’s permanent exhibits and the special exhibits on Power Hats and Women and Portraits from the Collection. The Library is located at 5350 University Avenue.
