CUMBERLAND — The Cumberland Arts Festival will be held Saturday, Aug. 17 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The re-imagined arts and crafts festival will be held on grounds of Cumberland First Baptist Church, 116 S. Muessing St. Enjoy shopping for unique items, listen to great entertainment including The Irish Airs and Haley Jonay, eat delicious food, bid on something special at the Silent Auction, delight in the fast footwork of Hearts Ablaze Cloggers, be amazed by Carly Chameleon of Silly Safaris, discover your inner artist with a hands-on art project — all under the shade of lovely, large trees.

The Town of Cumberland straddles the Hancock and Marion County line on U.S. 40 (East Washington St.). The town was established in 1831 along the National Road, and is an “included town” in Unigov. With about 5,500 residents, the town boasts three parks — National Road Park, Honors Park, and Lions Park. The Pennsy Trail runs behind the Town Hall on East Washington St., where many enjoy walking and biking.
