INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Public Library has increased the number of downloadable eBooks and audiobooks that can be checked out at one time from 12 to 25 items per library card. Also, individuals may now place holds on 20 downloadable items instead of 10.
The changes in lending policy occur as the Library’s collection of eBooks has grown to include over 51,000 fiction and non-fiction titles in various genres. The Indy Library also has added over 600 interactive eBooks from Disney Digital Books to its regular eBook collection. Classics such as 101 Dalmatians, Bambi, Mickey and Minnie, and Winnie the Pooh are included, as well as Disney movie tie-in titles such as Aladdin, Toy Story, Monsters, Inc., and Pirates of the Caribbean. Also, popular Disney Channel titles that include Wizards of Waverly Place, Hannah Montana, and Phineas and Ferb have been added, along with Disney Fairies titles.
