CUMBERLAND — The 10th annual Cumberland Arts Festival will be held Sat., Aug. 18 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. This exciting and art-filled event will be held along Saturn Street at Cumberland Town Hall, 11501 E. Washington St., on the Marion and Hancock County border. The free event will showcase the works of 14 talented plein air artists, as well as an additional 90 artists, craft artisans and farmer market vendors.
The festival area provides an easy walk to shop for hand crafted and unique items such as pottery, jewelry, woodwork, soaps, leather items, fashion, photography and more. Discover the variety of the farmers market section with fresh produce, cheeses, farm raised meats, eggs and baked goods. Over 90 vendors will be on hand.
Bring the whole family for the Interactive Art Experience, children’s activities, bounce house and carnival games. This year, there is a “Ten Worthy Places” Plein Air Art competition, featuring local landmarks and artist interpretations of them.
Various entertainment performances throughout the day including Irish Airs, Haley Jonay, Silly Safaris, Hearts Ablaze Cloggers and Latin Dance demonstrations. There will also be a silent auction.
A great selection of food vendors include traditional festival foods, vegan selections, roasted corn on the cob, locally produced cupcakes, and ice cream.
