Fundraiser for Girl Hit By Car Dec. 8
IRVINGTON — One of the young ladies caroling in Irvington on December 8 was struck by a truck crossing the street near Batters. Alexis Randolph was taken to Riley Hospital and has several broken bones, including ribs, and other injuries.

INDIANAPOLIS — Santa is the star of the show, and everyone is invited to get photos with him on Dec. 16 from noon-2 p.m. at Indy Reads Books, 911 Mass Ave.. Children of all ages and pets of all kinds are the guests of honor.
F.A.C.E. Animal Clinic will have shelter animals onsite for families to meet and, if it’s a match, take home your new best friend that day. Additionally, Paws and Think will offer their popular “Paws to Read” program, which helps kids practice their reading skills in a judgement-free environment using therapy dogs.

Teachers’ Village Town Hall Info Session Jan. 9
INDIANAPOLIS — Near East Area Renewal (NEAR) will host a Teachers’ Village info session January 9, 2018 at 6 p.m. at their headquarters, 2807 E. 10th St. The meeting will provide information on the look of the homes and expected changes in the coming months. They will also have information about different grant and down payment assistance programs available for first-time buyers.
