Community Heart & Vascular Hospital Provides Equipment to Lawrence Twp. Schools

INDIANAPOLIS — Pamela Hunt, vice president of Patient Care and chief nursing executive of Community Heart and Vascular Hospital, along with Joyce Irwin, president and CEO of Community Health Network Foundation, recently presented four full-rescue automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and 120 student athlete echocardiograms to Lawrence Township Schools.
Lawrence North High School, Fall Creek Valley Middle School, Lawrence Central High School and Belzer Middle School each received one AED, along with 30 student athlete echocardiograms. The donation is valued at $11,800, and funding was made possible by Community Health Network Foundation, in recognition of Community Heart and Vascular Hospital’s decade of serving Central Indiana.
“The Lawrence Township School District is extremely grateful for the generous gift of AED’s provided to our middle and high schools by the Community Heart and Vascular Hospital. The AED’s, along with the free student athlete echocardiograms, will help to ensure the well-being of our students,” said Steven L. Goeglein, Ed. D., Director of Secondary Education, Metropolitan School District of Lawrence Township.
