LAWRENCE — The Heartland Big Band is bringing swing to The Theater at the Fort May 14 from 7-9 p.m. “Swingin’ at the Fort” is their inaugural concert at the Lawrence venue. The Heartland Big Band promises to swing this historic building as it has never been swung before. The theater is located at 8920 Otis Ave., near 56th and Post Rd.
Formed in 2004, the Heartland Big Band is a collection of central Indiana artists dedicated to preserving and extending the big band jazz genre, presenting concerts of high artistic quality at affordable prices.
