MARION COUNTY – Lane and ramp closures are scheduled on Interstate 65 north of downtown Indianapolis for concrete patching work.
At or around 9 p.m. on Friday, July 11, the two right lanes of southbound I-65 are scheduled to close between 38th Street/Kessler Blvd. (Exit 119) and 21st Street (Exit 115). The I-65 southbound exit ramps to 38th Street/Kessler Blvd. and Martin Luther King Jr. Street (Exit 117) will also close.
At 6 a.m. on Monday, July 14, one lane of I-65 southbound will reopen to traffic and one lane will remain closed through Wednesday, July 16, at 6 a.m. The southbound exit ramps to 38th Street/Kessler Blvd. and Martin Luther King Jr. Street will remain closed through Wednesday morning. Additional lane closures are expected on this stretch of I-65 through the fall.
Motorists are reminded to slow down, use extra caution, and drive distraction-free in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
