From The Indianapolis News, Saturday, January 24, 1925: The East Side Broadcast Listeners Association has been formed by residents in that part of Indianapolis to ferret out the causes of the buz-z-z buz-z-z-and rip-saw antics of radio receiving sets that has gotten on the nerves of the local radio owners. The announced purpose of the club is to promote interest in radio reception by eliminating interference of all sources. Walter Reimer, manager of Acme Electric Co, 3305 E. Michigan St, was chosen president, along with Herbert A. Luckey, vice president, and Thomas V. Lavery, secretary-treasurer. People having trouble with radio receiving are asked to get in touch with the club and a concerted effort will be made to establish the source of the trouble. Reimer, Luckey, and Alex Nahre are members of a committee to investigate all complaints of interference.
