Communith Health Assessment Survey Being Mailed to Some Residents

INDIANAPOLIS — The Marion County Public Health Department is asking residents who receive a survey invitation in the mail, as part of the 2024 Community Health Assessment, to respond and have an important voice in improving public health in Marion County.
MCPHD is sending out a second round of survey invitations by mail this week to a different randomly selected group of 22,500 Marion County residents. The survey invitation letters feature the MCPHD logo in the top left corner and a blue and green design in the lower right corner.
Residents who receive the invitation are asked to complete the survey online, by phone or by mail, as outlined in the letter. Residents may also receive an e-mail as a reminder to complete the survey. The survey will remain open until MCPHD receives approximately 5,000 responses.
Residents who received an earlier survey invitation by mail in late September, but did not complete the survey, are still eligible to respond.
The 2024 Community Health Assessment survey asks residents to share information about health and wellness in their household and neighborhood. Assessment results will provide crucial information to the Marion County Public Health Department and its partners for determining what bold action steps would positively impact health outcomes.
Since trust is critical to ensuring that residents feel comfortable sharing their honest responses on the assessment survey, Dr. Caine said the Marion County Public Health Department is committed to ensuring that all responses are kept confidential, and that residents’ personal information is protected during this process.
After the survey closes, MCPHD will analyze the results and share them with the community in 2025. Reports and summarized information will be available at MarionHealth.org.
