INDIANAPOLIS — Indy Parks has announced sponsorship of the Child and Adult Care Food Program and the policy for free meals for all enrolled participants. Meals will be available to all enrolled participants without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability. The Afterschool Meals program is part of Indy Parks’ year-round meals program that helps to combat food insecurity in Indianapolis. Since 2013, the department has served over 3.3 million meals.
Afterschool Meal Serving Sites are open to all children 18 and under Monday through Friday, and Mobile Serving Sites are available Monday through Thursday. Meals at Rhodius Park are available from Tuesday to Friday. The current list of meal serving sites and hours are:
• Rhodius Park – 1720 West Wilkins St., 4– 5 p.m. Tuesday to Friday
• Windsor Village Park – 6510 E. 25th St., 5: – 6: p.m.
Mobile Serving Sites:
• East 38th St Library, 5420 E 38th St. 3 – 3:20 p.m.
• Brightwood Library, 2434 N Sherman Dr. 3:50 – 4:10 p.m.
• Haughville Library, 2121 W Michigan St. 5 – 5:20 p.m.
