INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Music History Project recently launched its first Indiana Music Audio Kiosk, now available for visitors at its free public gallery located at 1305 Broad Ripple Avenue, in the lower level of Flanner Buchanan in the Broad Ripple neighborhood of Indianapolis.
The kiosk is a unique interactive experience designed for music lovers. Visitors can explore a curated selection of genre-focused playlists and a special Indiana playlist, showcasing songs inspired by Indiana places from local artists. Many of these tracks are rare and difficult to find online, making this kiosk a treasure trove for music enthusiasts.
“The kiosk is more than just a listening station; it’s a celebration of Indiana’s rich musical heritage,” said Indiana Entertainment Foundation Executive Director Rick Wilkerson. The Indiana Music History Project is the primary initiative of the nonprofit Indiana Entertainment Foundation.
The playlists span a variety of genres, honoring both major artists and lesser known, yet significant, contributors to Indiana’s music scene. This grant has also supported the digitization of the project’s music archive, ensuring the preservation of this vital history. As the digitization efforts continue, the playlists in the kiosk will be regularly updated, and new playlists will be added. Additionally, visitors can look forward to short stories about gallery exhibits that will enhance their experience.
Visit www.indianafound.org for more information about the kiosk and donate to the program.
