IRVINGTON — To kick off the autumn season on the east side, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church invites everyone to their Fall Festival, taking place Sept. 25-28. The church, located at 5333 E. Washington St., will be lively with fun for the whole family. The festival begins at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26, closing at 10 p.m. Friday, the fun runs from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday, the schedule is from 2 p.m.-midnight.
On Friday night beginning at 9 p.m., there will be a Post-Game Party with music, outdoor Monte Carlo, food, beer, and much more.
Family-friendly outdoor activities include a 9-hole putt-putt golf course, giant multi lane fun slide, 24 ft rock climbing wall, the Lost Treasures obstacle course and a mechanical bull! Inside, kids can enjoy a circuit of 8 unique inflatable attractions including: obstacle courses, and Jurassic Adventures. Wristband tickets are available online at ollfallfest.org until Wednesday, Sept. 25th. with a pack of 20 tickets for $15, or $30 for a combo wristband for the Kidzz Zone (indoors) and Adventure zones (outdoors). There are also pre-sale bundles for the whole weekend available for $55-$125.
Live music can be heard throughout the weekend, from the classic country on Friday, Sept. 27 at 5:30 p.m. with Mystery Train Banc, and Kevin Rafferty on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Local favorite Audio Diner will be on stage at 9:30 p.m. The kids will love the magic of Doug Javes, who will amuse the crowds on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 7 p.m.
The always popular silent auction opens in Bernadette Hall and runs through Saturday. There will be a $5,000 raffle drawing, There will be a $5,000 raffle drawing, Monte Carlo night open 6 p.m.-midnight on Friday and Saturday, including Blackjack, Texas Poker, and a Texas Hold em’ cash game..
There will be food booths with items available for purchase, and for the 21+ crowd, The Margarita Factory will be offering five different flavors of margaritas.
Three lots will be open for parking: on the side of Our Lady of Lourdes, 5333 E. Washington; parking lot at Oakley-Hammond Funeral Home, 5342 E. Washington St. (across the street — please cross at the light only on Washington to get to the festival); parking lot at Mundell & Associates, 110 S. Downey.
Our Lady of Lourdes is one of the religious cornerstones of Irvington, established in 1909.
