INDIANAPOLIS — In partnership with the Indianapolis Cultural Trail, the Lunch at Lugar has kicked off on Thursdays. Look for food trucks on Alabama Street every Thursday from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. for City County employees and others in the Market East neighborhood to grab a quick, convenient lunch. On May 16 and 23, Chicago Beef & Hotdogs will be highlighted. On May 30, Sakura Express and Chicago Beef & Dogs will be highlighted.
In addition, several events are being offered in Lugar Plaza in May.
• Pilates on the Plaza will take place every Thursday at 6 p.m. with free classes from The Hot Room. Registration is preferred and can be made through their Web site, thehotroom.com
• On May 16 at 7 p.m., there will be a free concert & interview with Rome Herbert, inspirational rapper.
• Yoga en la Plaza will be held May 18 at 10 a.m. There will be a free bilingual flow yoga class with The Hot Room. Registration is preferred at the Hot Room Web site.
• Viernes Cultural: Latin Night at Lugar Plaza will be held May 31 from 6:30-9:30 p.m.. This will be a celebration of Latin culture with food, a free dance lesson from Latin Expressions and live music from Son de Esquina.
Lugar Plaza is located is located at 200 E. Washington St. next to the City-County building and on the Cultural Trail downtown.
