INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Historical Society (IHS) recently announce the winners of its 2023 Festival of Trees holiday exhibit.
The 2023 Festival of Trees took place Nov. 10 through Jan. 6, featuring a winter wonderland of 78 elaborately-decorated trees representing individuals, families and organizations from around Indiana. Visitors to Festival of Trees were able to vote for their favorite tree, and more than 25,000 votes were cast. The top winners were:
• “Santa’s Workshop Christmas Tree” – Sponsored by Central Indiana Woodworkers, Inc.
• “Angels in White” – Sponsored by Little Angel Gowns
• “Barking Spirits Bright” – Sponsored by the Indiana Canine Assistance Network
During Festival of Trees, guests took part in scavenger hunts for The Elf on the Shelf or the Weihnachtzgurken (10 pickle ornaments hidden in trees throughout the building). The 2023 festival was the 10th annual celebration at the IHS.
