INDIANAPOLIS — Dr. Sean Huddleston, President of Martin University, was honored by the Center for Leadership Development (CLD) with the Post-Secondary Education Award at its 43rd Annual Minority Achievers Awards & Scholarship Gala on March 23. He was among 80 students awarded more than $5 million in scholarships and 15 minority professionals who were celebrated for their accomplishments as community leaders.
The Annual Minority Achievers Awards & Scholarship Gala is a recognition by CLD, education, business, corporate, and community leaders who come together to celebrate the accomplishments of minority professionals, community leaders, and CLD scholars.
CLD students who have achieved distinction by being awarded scholarships from educational institutions for reaching their intellectual and academic potential are recognized at the event. Over $4.6 million in full and partial scholarship dollars were awarded to CLD Alumni in 2022. Over $30 million in scholarships have been awarded to CLD students since 2004.
The mission of the Center for Leadership Development is to foster the advancement of minority youth in Central Indiana as future professional, business, and community leaders by providing experiences that encourage personal development and educational attainment.
