INDIANAPOLIS — As part of an ongoing series, Trail Talk: The Myth of the Path to Citizenship, will be held Feb. 22, from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Tickets are FREE. The Phoenix has partnered with the Immigrant Welcome Center and the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site to present this Talk detailing and personalizing the so-called “path” to American citizenship. The Phoenix is located at 705 North Illinois Street.
During this program, you’ll hear personal stories from naturalized Indianapolis residents about their own challenges and journeys to becoming citizens.
Could you pass the test? The citizenship test is given orally without multiple choice answers. Try your hand at taking the test to see if you could become a U.S. citizen. Can YOU name the president during World War I? What year was the U.S. Constitution written?
Presenters of the program are Mistie Cisneros of the Immigrant Welcome Center and Roger Hardig, the VP of Education at the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site.
